Caring for animals has never been “just a job” to me—it’s something I’ve always loved. My journey started at 16 when I offered free pet sitting through Facebook simply because I wanted to spend time with animals and build experience. Today, I volunteer at the RSPCA caring for cats and dogs, and at home I have my rescue cat, Khushi, who was born prematurely. Helping her grow into the happy, healthy cat she is today reminded me why I love caring for animals so much. Every pet I meet is treated with the same patience, kindness, and love that I give my own.
Please tell me about their daily routine, feeding schedule, favourite toys or treats, any medical conditions or medication, allergies, and whether they’re nervous around new people, other animals, or certain situations. I’d also love to know what they enjoy most—whether that’s long walks, playing fetch, cuddles on the sofa, or simply having someone nearby. If they have any little habits or quirks, please let me know! The smallest details often make the biggest difference and help me care for them just the way you do.
A Typical Day in My Life Most days start with a cuddle from my rescue cat, Khushi, followed by making sure she’s fed, happy, and ready for the day. Caring for animals has become such a natural part of my routine that it never feels like a chore—it genuinely makes me happy. When I’m volunteering at the RSPCA, I spend my time caring for cats and dogs, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they wait for their forever homes. Seeing even the smallest improvements in an animal’s confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my day. I also enjoy taking dogs on enriching walks, playing with them, and making sure they get the exercise, mental stimulation, and affection they need. Every pet is different, so I always adapt to their personality and routine. When I’m not with animals, you’ll usually find me spending time with family, learning more about pet care, or relaxing with Khushi curled up beside me. Animals have always been at the centre of my life, and caring for them is something I truly love. I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and someone who treats them like family—and that’s exactly the care I promise to give every pet I meet.
