Ellie I.'s Experience
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with all sorts of pets, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish and rodents, so caring for animals is almost like second nature to me and has always been something I’ve been passionate about! I am also very interested in animal psychology and behaviour and spend a lot of my free time educating myself with documentaries and research. When I went to university in 2019, I wasn’t able to have pets of my own, but I couldn’t really let that stop me! I filled the pet-shaped void by seeking out opportunities to look after other people’s pets, starting with family and friends and eventually caring for strangers’ pets through word of mouth. This has given me great experience of caring for other people’s pets on their terms. I’ve looked after lots of different dogs, from Shih Tzus and Cockapoos to Great Danes, Dalmatians, Labradors, Retrievers and plenty of others. I’ve also cared for cats and kittens, puppies, senior animals and smaller, less traditional pets such as reptiles.

A typical day
I enjoy an active lifestyle and love spending time outdoors, so having a furry companion with me would be lovely! I do agency work, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to adapt to your pet's needs and routine.
