I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and enjoy getting to know their individual personalities, needs, and routines. I have three cats of my own, and I’ve had 11 years of experience caring for cats. This has given me a great understanding of how different cats can be, from their behaviour and communication to their individual preferences and boundaries. I also have 3 years of previous experience working with dogs, giving me hands-on experience with their care, exercise, behaviour, and day-to-day needs. I understand the importance of keeping dogs active, stimulated, happy, and safe while in my care. To further support my knowledge and ability to provide safe care, I also hold a Dog First Aid Certificate. This has given me additional knowledge and confidence when it comes to recognising and responding to potential emergencies. Whether I’m caring for a playful puppy, an energetic dog, or a more independent cat, I always aim to provide patient, responsible, and compassionate care tailored to each individual animal. 🐶🐱💕

A typical day

What a Day With Me Looks Like 🐾 When your pet is in my care, I want them to feel happy, safe, loved, and mentally stimulated—not like they’re simply being “watched.” Every pet has their own personality, routine, and favourite things, so I tailor the day around what makes **them** comfortable and happy. ### 🌅 Morning — Start the Day Right We’ll begin with plenty of fuss, cuddles, and a chance to settle into the day. Depending on your pet, this could include a relaxed walk, garden time, or some gentle play. For dogs, walks aren’t just about exercise—they’re an opportunity to **sniff, explore, and take in the world at their own pace**. ### 🧠 Midday — Enrichment & Play After some downtime, it’s time for fun! Enrichment activities might include: * 🦴 Puzzle toys and treat-dispensing games * 👃 Snuffle mats and scent-based games * 🎾 Fetch, tug, or their favourite toys * 🐾 Simple training games and positive reinforcement * 🔎 “Find it” games using treats or toys * 🧩 Age-appropriate problem-solving activities * 🌿 Safe garden exploring and sniffing time For cats and smaller pets, enrichment could mean interactive play, exploring safe spaces, foraging activities, or simply spending quality one-to-one time together. ### 😴 Afternoon — Rest & Relaxation Pets need plenty of downtime too. After all the excitement, we’ll have a cosy rest period where they can nap, relax, or simply hang out with me. I’ll always respect their individual boundaries—some pets want constant attention, while others are happiest snoozing nearby. ### 🌇 Evening — One More Adventure Before the day winds down, we’ll have another opportunity for exercise, play, or enrichment depending on your pet’s needs and energy levels. We’ll finish with plenty of affection and a calm environment so they’re settled and content. ### 💕 Throughout the Day Your pet’s wellbeing comes first. I’ll keep to their usual feeding, medication, toilet, walking, and sleep routines wherever possible, while giving them **lots of positive attention, enrichment, and companionship**. My aim is for you to come home to a pet who has had a **fun, fulfilling day and plenty of love and attention**—and maybe even needs a little nap after all our adventures! 🐶🐱🐾
