I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals and have built my knowledge through both hands-on experience and professional qualifications. Through Pawsome Pals Pet Care, I have cared for a huge variety of animals and personalities, from young puppies and energetic breeds to elderly, nervous and reactive dogs. I have experience with a particularly wide range of dog breeds, including Huskies, Malamutes, German and Belgian Shepherds, Border Collies, Labradors, Retrievers, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Staffies, Spaniels, Poodles, Dachshunds, Bulldogs, Pugs and many more. I have also cared for cats, horses, farm animals, birds, reptiles, small mammals, insects and both freshwater and saltwater fish. Alongside my practical experience, I hold qualifications in Working with Dogs, Dog Breed & Behaviour, Canine Body Language, Dog Grooming, Animal Welfare & Management, Feline Behaviour & Body Language, as well as a diploma in Equine Behaviour & Management. I have particular experience with dogs who are reactive, nervous, anxious or struggle with separation, and I understand how important it is to approach every animal as an individual. I am patient and observant, and I take the time to understand their body language, boundaries and unique personality rather than expecting every pet to respond in the same way. I have also been house sitting for family, friends and neighbours since I was a teenager, so I am very comfortable caring for animals within their own homes and maintaining their usual routines. My experience has taught me that great pet care isn't simply about feeding and walking an animal - it's about creating a sense of safety, familiarity, companionship and trust while their person is away.

Yes! I’d love to know as much as possible about your pet before booking, as every animal has their own personality, routine and individual needs. It’s particularly helpful to know about their temperament, energy levels, likes and dislikes, usual walking routine, feeding schedule, recall and any behaviours I should be aware of. I’d also like to know about any medical needs, allergies, medications, fears, reactivity or separation anxiety, as well as how they are around other dogs, people and unfamiliar environments. For nervous or reactive pets, understanding their triggers and what helps them feel safe is especially important to me. I’m also happy to accommodate any specific routines or little quirks your pet has, the more I know beforehand, the more comfortable and settled I can help them feel. 🐾
My day is flexible, revolving around the needs of the pets I care for! I enjoy lively walks, balanced with work breaks for feeding, playtime, and companionship, ensuring each pet gets the attention and love they deserve. Relaxed yet active, I cater to their unique personalities, especially those needing a gentle touch.
